Climara

What is Climara? The Climara patch is a transdermal patch which is used to provide Estrogen to the body. Women buy Climara in the case that they have severely low levels of Estradiol in their blood (this is something which tends to happen commonly at the onset of menopause as well as after an oophorectomy). Estrogen therapy using Climara pro or a similar Climara Estrogen product is also used in cases where women need to treat infertility or when male to female transsexuals need to maintain female hormone levels.

If your Climara patch causes you to sweat, or if you have another Climara patch problem, you should call your doctor immediately. Some of the possible side effects of the Climara estrogen patch which require immediate medical attention are a chest pain / heavy feeling, numbness that spreads across the body, nausea, sweating, pain or swelling in the legs, any kind of numbness or weakness, abnormal vaginal bleeding, jaundice, or a breast lump. Some relatively minor side effects such as depression, mild vaginal discomfort, changes in sex drive, changes in menstrual periods or acne are more ordinary and are likely not to be a problem. The combination of Climara and weight gain is another possibility, but one that may be more related to the kinds of emotional changes that can result from Climara hormone replacement therapy.

Learn about these and the other possible Climara side effects by speaking to a doctor who knows you and your personal history before you embark upon any kind of course of treatment. This way you can be sure of the safety of Climara, the comparison between Premarin & Climara, and you can also find out about any kinds of special offers that your physician may be privy to such as a Climara rebate. I must advise against going for a Climara internet purchase, unless it is a store that can somehow verify your prescription and you are sure that it is reputable. Various substances and drugs may interact harmfully with Climara, such as St. John's Wort, phenobarbital, blood thinners such as Coumadin / Warfarin, and various kinds of antibiotics. You should also have a doctor check your status every six months at least when you are on Estrogen therapy, and you should tell your doctor if you become pregnant - it is a bad idea to take Estrogen therapy while you are pregnant or while you are breast feeding a baby.
