Naproxen

Naproxen is the generic name of a type of medication known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This means it is a type of medicine that works to reduce inflammation, but it contains no steroids. This does not, however, make it safe for everyone. Naproxen is available over the counter at any drug store, and common brand names that are widely recognized include Aleve and Anaprox. Although Naproxen is available without a prescription, this does not mean it is safe for everyone. Those who have intestinal problems or blood circulation problems should not use Naproxen unless it is given and supervised by a doctor. The side effects of Naproxen can include stomach and heart affectations, so it is important not to use this medication if any of these problems already exist.

What Naproxen is, is a medicine that decreases hormones within the body that can cause inflammation and pain. This means that Naproxen is typically used to treat any type of condition that includes inflammation, such as arthritis or a sprain. The drug Naproxen can be of great help in reducing pain and swelling in these conditions. However, it is important to monitor Naproxen side effects if taken for any length of time. Taking Naproxen or Naproxen sodium needs to be limited unless otherwise ordered by a doctor. Read all labels , whether you are taking Naproxen 500 mg, Naproxen sodium tablets, or any other form of Naproxen. Naproxen sodium side effects can often differ from regular Naproxen, so be sure to only take the medicine if you don’t have any of the risky conditions listed on the label.

There are many types of Naproxen dosages, and these vary according to the brand and type. Naproxen effects and the quickness with which it works will vary according to the amount of the medication in each pill. 500 mg Naproxen is a very common dosage amount. You may ask, “what does Naproxen 500 mg do?” and it is simply a large dose that has a quicker and longer effect than lower dosage amounts. Keep in mind, however, that using Naproxen 500 mg means that you will need to take it much less often than lower dosage pills. Since Naproxen effects hormones within the body, taking too much can result in a Naproxen overdose which could be very harmful, and even fatal. Always know what dosage amount you are taking, never take Naproxen more often or for longer than the label says, and keep the medication out of the reach of children.
