Pulmicort
Pulmicort is an inhaled medication, either through an inhaler or a nebulizer, that prevents the release of substances within the body that cause inflammation and difficulty breathing. Pulmicort is not a typical asthma inhaler that will fight off an already beginning asthma attack. Instead, the intended purpose of Pulmicort is to prevent the attacks from occurring. It does not have instant effects, and it may take up to weeks for Pulmicort effects to be seen.
The Pulmicort frequency of usage required will vary depending on the patient and their condition. You may have to use your Pulmicort inhaler once a day or several times a day depending on the severity of your illness. There are different levels and types of Pulmicort available, including Pulmicort Respules, the Pulmicort Nebulizer, Pulmicort Inhaler, Foradil Pulmicort and a Pulmicort Turbuhaler.
